Who Am I?

Well, I'm finding that too… Nevermind! Let me introduce myself in a materialistic manner.


Hi!! I'm Saloni Bajaj from India. I'm a postgraduate in Philosophy. I’m passionate and enthusiastic about writing. I'm a co-author of the book "Select- Short Stories" published at Select Publishers. My articles have been published in Dainik Jagran newspaper and I was felicitated as “Editor-for-a-Day” from Dainik Jagran on the occasion of The International Day of the Girl Child, 2017.


I'm a blogger and some of my articles were published in my college’s magazine. I love to read and write. I try to find a new meaning of life and things around me. My perspective of the world varies from others. Through my writing I attempt to highlight a positive message. 


Since, I’m a philosopher, my philosophy is- 

Be positive no matter what.

All the answers are inside you, you just have to switch on the light.

In our society, where the value of the dollar, petrol and deisel are rising, the value of life is near to zero. Life, now, has become so worthless, for some, that people gave up on it without a prior thought. Life is life and it is the most precious thing which is provided to us by the Almighty. Then, why are we taking our preciousness so lightly? We all know how it feels when someone who is close to our heart passes away. The pain is unbearable at times. Such a thing cannot be undone. Why does a person add up to the present suffering by giving up on her/his life? The chief causes of suicide are, depression; overexpectations of others; end of a love relation; toxic relationships; substance abuse; poor academic score; and so on. Book Review: 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho

After a wait of nine years, finally, I read this gem named ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho. My reading journey began with two novels, when I was in 9th grade. The first one was Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the other was Paulo Coelho’s The Witch of Portobello. Then I came across Coelho’s one of the greatest works that is The Alchemist .  My desire to read this book was otherworldly. I wanted this very book and struggled a lot to get it. It might seem bizarre but I found this book nowhere. I searched libraries, bookstores, even asked some of my friends but something was stopping me from reading it because either the novel was out of stock or sometimes unavailable, or sometimes out of budget. Then, there came a time when I was a non-reader for almost 5 years. Fortunately, in January this year, I bought this book and I was jumping with joy, but I couldn’t read it due to a busy schedule.
